The more I compare feature writing with news writing, the more I realize how different they are. News writing gets straight to the facts - quick, clear, and to the point. It’s helpful and important, but there isn’t much room to show personality.

Feature writing gives you space to breathe. You can tell stories, share feelings, and paint vivid pictures with words. It’s more about exploring the “why” rather than just listing the “what.” That’s probably why I prefer it because it feels more human. Of course, the downside is that features take more time, and you can easily go off track if you’re not careful. Still, I find the depth and personal touch of feature writing worth it.
