The Mysterious Case of the Vanishing Phone Chargers

I’m starting to believe my house has a secret black hole that continues to eat phone chargers. I’ll buy a new pack thinking we’re finally set, and within a few days they’ve magically disappeared. No one ever knows what happened. Everyone claims innocence. And yet somehow… not a single charger can be found when someone’s phone hits 2%.

What makes it hilarious is the places we end up searching. Under the couch cushions? Of course. Inside the car? Always. But the freezer? I still don’t know how that one happened.

There’s also the mystery of how we always find one sad, half-broken charger that everyone fights over like it’s the last piece of gold on earth. It barely works, you have to hold it at the perfect angle, and the moment you let go, your phone stops charging. But we all still try to use it.

At this point, I’m convinced chargers are basically temporary household items. Enjoy them while they’re around, because they never stay long. Honestly though, the whole situation makes me laugh. It’s one of those tiny everyday problems that everyone can relate to, and for some reason that makes it feel a little less annoying and more funny.
